Pump Express – Terms of Use

Welcome to Pump Express (“the App”), operated by Pump Express Technologies Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By downloading, accessing, or using this App, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). Please read them carefully before using Pump Express.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. Overview

Pump Express is a mobile application that allows users in Nigeria to locate partner filling stations and purchase Petrol, Diesel, or CNG conveniently through a secure digital payment system.

Your use of Pump Express constitutes acceptance of these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Pump Express. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that all information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features, you may be required to create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful details during registration.

  • Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials.

  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorised account use.

4. Services Provided

Pump Express enables you to:

  • View and locate nearby participating fuel stations using GPS.

  • Pay securely for fuel (Petrol, Diesel, or CNG) using approved digital payment options.

  • Access receipts and transaction history within the app.

We act as a facilitator between users and participating fuel stations, not as the seller of the fuel itself. Each fuel transaction is subject to the specific station’s terms and conditions.

5. Payments

All payments are processed through secure third-party payment gateways.
By initiating a transaction, you authorise us to transmit payment instructions to the payment provider on your behalf.

We do not store your card or payment details. Payment confirmations are final, and refunds (if applicable) are subject to the fuel station’s policy.

6. Location Services

Pump Express uses your device’s GPS data to show nearby filling stations and verify proximity during transactions.
By using the App, you grant permission to access your real-time location while the App is active. You can revoke permission anytime in your device settings, but this may limit app functionality.

7. User Responsibilities

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.

  • Interfere with or disrupt the App’s functionality.

  • Reverse-engineer, copy, or distribute the App’s content or software.

  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to users who violate these Terms.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, graphics, trademarks, and software in the App are the intellectual property of Pump Express Technologies Ltd or its licensors.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App solely for personal, lawful purposes.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or exploit any part of the App without our written consent.

9. Third-Party Services

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We do not control or endorse these services and are not responsible for their content or policies.
Your interactions with third parties are at your own risk and subject to their own terms and conditions.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Pump Express shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, profit, or business opportunities.

  • We make no guarantees regarding uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or availability of third-party stations.

  • Fuel quality, pricing, or availability are solely the responsibility of the respective station.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, negligence, or death resulting from our actions.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pump Express Technologies Ltd, its affiliates, officers, and employees from any claim, loss, or damage arising from:

  • Your misuse of the App

  • Violation of these Terms

  • Infringement of any third-party rights

12. Termination

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate access to the App at any time without prior notice, including if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activity.

13. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any material changes will be communicated through the App or our website. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and, where applicable, the United Kingdom.
Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.
